GM Welsh confronts Zeus McKenna

Christopher Weich is sitting at his desk, with a upset look on his face, as he addresses someone sitting at the desk. The camera slowly starts moving left as he speaks.

Christopher Weich: “I’m the one in charge here. I’m not some schlub GM like you might have worked with before. I will NOT have you coming in here and start dictating terms – to the World of Wrestling, OR to me! Everyone is equal here – you understand me?! You are to pay me respect – or, so help me, I’ll tear up your contract here and now! Do you hear me?!”

The camera movement has completed its circle – and it’s Zeus McKenna sitting opposite the GM, wearing a hooded sweatshirt with his logo on it. The crowd is heard cheering. Weich is apopletic.

Christopher Weich: “Do you HEAR ME?!”

Zeus acts surprised and pulls his hood down. He’s got headphones on. He acts confused, and pulls them down to his neck.

Zeus McKenna: “Huh? Sorry, Chrissy, I was listening to some Too $hort. You were saying something?”

The GM starts grinding his teeth. His face is bright red. Zeus puts his hands up, and starts laughing.

Zeus McKenna: “Relax, relax! I was just fooling ya. Breath! You’re gonna pop a blood vessel in your eye or sumthin. You’re the boss, no doubt. No doubt.”

He stops smiling.

Zeus McKenna: “Just remember who my last contract was with. And it wasn’t no Federation.”

Christopher Weich stands up with his fists on his desk.

Christopher Weich: “While you’re here, you will treat me with respect. You will play by the same rules as everyone other wrestler. AND – you will call me MISTER Weich.”

Zeus rises to his feet as well. He puts a smile back on his face.

Zeus McKenna: “I’m all about playing by the rules. I’ll just have to TRY to remember to do that respect thing to you, huh? MISTAH Weich? Sah?”

Zeus pats him on the cheek condescendingly, and starts laughing as he turns to leave.

Christopher Weich: [through gritted teeth] “Keep it in LINE, McKenna – or I’ll break you.”

Zeus waves without looking back. The wave turns into a scratching of the back of his head with just his middle finger.

Christopher Weich: “Son of a…”

*We cut back to the announcer’s table.*

Granville Viscera: “What was THAT all about?”

Marcus Viafildis: “There’s something going on… Some kind of baggage that Zeus McKenna’s brought with him…”

Granville Viscera: “You think so? That just looked like to big egos figuring each other out, to me…”

Marcus Viafildis: “Look, PFM got this guy a contract without, apparently, the GM’s full knowledge. Then there’s that reference to his last employer?”

Granville Viscera: “You’re reading too much into this, Marcus.”

Marcus Viafildis: “You’re a naïve tool, Granville. And you steal my lines.”
